The end result is always contemporary

Over twenty years ago, I graduated as a graphic designer from the Arnhem Academy of Fine Arts (ArtEZ). In recent years, I've focused primarily on photography and film. That's really where my heart lies now.
I first connected with Danshuis Haarlem through my daughter. She's been dancing at Danshuis Haarlem since 2019. She started as a little girl in preschool dance, and now she's in the Preparatory Course. The home base of Danshuis and
Dansgroep Haarlem is the Klein Heiligpand, where I also rent a studio space. So we're actually neighbors. A collaboration quickly became a natural fit.

It began with a series of photos of the performance "Indianen" (Indians). More quickly followed. A photo recording of the beautiful performance "Dagboek 44 45" by Dansgroep Haarlem. A video portrait of Haya for the 30th anniversary
and much more. I'm currently regularly photographing the performances and working on a short film about Dansgroep Haarlem, which will be shown soon.

It's wonderful to practically dance with the dancers on the floor, camera in hand, capturing their movements and atmosphere as accurately as possible. I really enjoy that. It's a privilege to work with these inspiring people.
